INTENTION Vol #5: Elementary School, Grades 5, 6, 7, The Registration Office, Yeshivas Kayitz Program

As we grow from Gimmel Tammuz and transition into the summer, we follow the Rebbe’s teaching that one never truly leaves the tents of Torah, but establishes tents of Torah wherever one goes.

The word Oholei, “Tents,” evokes summer, when we camp in literal or figurative tents. The Rebbe teaches that the reason Oholei Torah is called “Oholei,” which connotes a temporary structure, and not, say “Bais,” which implies a more permanent edifice, is because, like Shem and Ever who established the first Tents of Torah, the very purpose of Oholei Torah is to transform the temporary transience of this material world into the permanence of Elokus and Ruchnius. A tent could be easiyl pitched anywhere and everywhere. Wherever a Talmid or Bochur from Oholei Torah may be, be it the city or camp, he carries with him the eternality and permanence of Torah.

The middle syllable of INTENTION is “TENT.” In this fifth monthly edition of INTENTION, we feature:

1. Elementary School, Grades 5, 6, 7.
2. The Registration Office.
3. Yeshivas Kayitz Program.

Please enjoy the words and images that help tell a little part of the Oholei Torah story. We look forward to your feedback, comments and ideas on how we could continue to share the perpetually growing life of Oholei Torah.
