Permits Filed For Crown Heights Lot Left Empty For Years

An empty lot on the corner of East New York Ave and Kingston Ave in Crown Heights might just begin to see construction after years of neglect.

Permits for a seven-story mixed-use building were filed for 500 Kingston Avenue owned by Crown Heights resident Daniel Halevy under 510 Kingston Partners LLC.

According to NewYorkYimby, the proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 57,746 square feet, with 9,431 square feet designated for community facility space across the first and second floors, and 28,312 square feet of residential space on the floors above.

The building is planned to have 32 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 884 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and 17 enclosed parking spaces.

An estimated completion date for the project has yet to be announced.
