It was an epic storm, with thunder, hail, and a deluge of rain. The storm caused flooding and damage, as well as created beautiful waterfalls and lakes. Here are some highlights from Crown Heights and the surrounding areas.
Marble sized hail came pounding down, ricocheting around and leaving a sheet of ice balls.
On Eastern Parkway near the Botanical Gardens, a stairway turned into a waterfall worth watching.
A calm lake was born during this storm at the intersection of Kingston Ave and Rutland Road in Crown Heights.
A large tree in Boro Park could not withstand the storm, and snapped mid trunk, coming down on the roof of a Minivan. Thankfully there were no serious injuries.
