Zivale’s Spa and Nail Salon Closed By Law Enforcement

Coronavirus lockdown enforcement has come to Crown Heights.
The first reported closure of a store in Crown Heights open despite the Coronavirus lockdown was reported Thursday.
Zivale’s Spa and Nail Salon, located on East New York Ave off of Kingston Ave, was told to close by law enforcement, and stop taking clients.
The owner of the store, Mrs. Veronica Guzman, had only recently opened her store after being closed for three months.
“Protesters took over the streets, many did not have masks and were closely gathered all over the place.” Guzman said. “I am just trying to make a living, a simple living to support my family.”
According to a press release by the ReOpenNY movement, Guzman had made some significant renovations to make her store suitable for seeing clients, including dividers between manicurists and customers.
Law enforcement visited the store three times last week, eventually forcing Mrs. Guzman to close the store.
While law enforcement officers have forced her to close, Guzman believes it is the Mayor that are to blame.
“The mayor is hurting businesses like mine, I need to work, and I am following all the required safety and mitigation protocols.”
The ReOpenNY movement has seen widespread support, with over 500 businesses joining across New York City.
