Local Schools Remind Parents of Internet Danger

by CrownHeights.info

As thousands of children sit down each day to join their fellow students in virtual classrooms, the principals of local schools sent out a letter remind parents of the danger of the internet.

“We want to bring to your attention the great responsibility to place proper filters on each and every device that is put in the hands of your child,” the principals wrote. “An unfiltered device can wreck havoc in your child’s upbringing.”

An unfiltered device can give nearly unlimited access, something that once seen, can not be unseen.

“Already we are hearing stories of boys and girls that are on computers without filters that are falling prey to the deepest level of evil.”

The principals encouraged parents to speak with their children, and impress on them that despite learning online, it does not mean that they are promoting the free use of the internet.

As an option for internet security, the principals advocated for the TAG computer filter, a well known and tested kosher filter.
