Brachos and Smiling Faces As Birkas Hailanos Truck Drives Through Crown Heights

by CrownHeights.info

Making its way through Jewish communities in Brooklyn, the Birkas Hailanos truck drove the streets of Crown Heights on Thursday. Hundreds of families came to their porches, doors, and windows to say a Bracha over the trees and enjoy the moment.

Smiles were found aplenty as the red truck from Ultimate Tree Care towed the trailer with trees by their homes.

“My kids were so excited to see the trees and make the Bracha!” One mother wrote. “Such a nice idea.”

The well organized route was arranged by Crown Heights Shomrim, who provided a safety escort for the truck, and made sure that the smaller streets of Crown Heights did not miss out.

Streets such as Sterling Street and Balfour Pl saw nearly every porch filled as children and adults came out to make the Bracha.

One parent thanked the organizers for their dedication. “Thank you so so much! First truck to pass by our house! Kids were thrilled!”

In just three hours, the truck traversed from Midwood through Eastern Parkway, Nostrand Ave to Utica Ave, giving each and every person a chance to make the once a year Bracha.
