Crown Heights Supermarkets Fully Stocked, Report No Shortages

The fear of food or goods shortages in Crown Heights are unfounded, according to a Crown Heights Supermarket owner. The stores and warehouses are fully stocked.

“We are fully stocked and are receiving tons of extra,” Itzik Banabou told CrownHeights.info. Benabou owns The Marketplace Supermarket and Empire Kosher Supermarket in Crown Heights, the two largest in the community.

Shelves emptied yesterday are full again this morning, including meats, water and dry goods.

“We have everything, there is no shortage, even for Pesach,”

Food and goods suppliers gave the same message, noting that warehouses are fully stocked, and no shortages are anticipated.

Hoarding was sparked by sudden shortages in hand sanitizer and medical masks, both of which have had no effect on the Kosher food market.
