PLG Organic Dry Cleaners; Under New Management

by CrownHeights.info

Nestled between a barbershop and taxi storefront, a Jewish owned dry cleaners comes back to life.

PLG Cleaners located on New York Ave between Midwood Street and Rutland Rd isn’t new to the neighborhood, but its owner is.

Betzalel Scheinfeld recently bought the cleaners, bringing his unique touch to the business.

The clean and modern feel of the PLG Cleaners storefront only gets more inviting with Betzalel’s open and inviting smile.

Betzalel’s has a simple philosophy, “It’s all about customer service.”

Having worked for years in B&H’s Customer Service Department, the importance of a satisfied customer is not new to him.

“Consistent good experiences can bring you a lifelong customer, while a single bad experience can lose you one.”

As multiple new buildings go up and many young Lubavitch couples buy homes in southern Crown Heights, Betzalel hopes to attract the young and environmentally conscious people of the Crown Heights community.

“We are a 100% organic dry cleaners,” pitched Betzalel. “While many dry cleaners use chemicals that are harsh on clothing, we only use organics, making for a healthier and better clean with longer lasting fabrics, all at no extra cost to our customers.”

Betzalel’s model also brings the age old dry cleaning business into 2020, with emailed alerts and active social media.

The store, located at 590 New York Ave, is open into the evening hours as well as Sunday, allowing for those who work to pick up or drop off their clothing.
