Subway commuters in Brooklyn found themselves trapped in close proximity to a knife fight on a Flatbush bound 2 train around 5:00pm Wednesday evening.

Two commuters allegedly came to blows over an unknown argument, with each one holding a knife to the other.

Bystanders attempted to get out of the way, while one brave man attempted to intervene. Others can be heard attempting to calm the situation by reminding the two that there was a baby in between them.

Borough President Eric Adams tweeted video of the incident, noting that it took place in the Crown Heights area.

“I’m grateful to the man who attempted to deescalate this escalation,” he wrote. “Think about this the next time someone says we don’t need police officers in our subway.”

No one appears to have been injured in the incident.
