Man Who Assaulted Crown Heights Resident With Brick, Out On Bail
Rabbi Abraham Gopin, a Crown Heights resident, was brutally assaulted in a Crown heights park on August 27th by a man with a brick. The man, who was arrested on September 12th, is already out on bail.

Rabbi Abraham Gopin, aged 63, was out for his morning walk through a Crown Heights park on August 27th, when he was viciously assaulted by a man with a brick.
Rabbi Gopin, a Crown Heights resident, sustained injuries to his face, and suffered several broken teeth as a result of the brutal assault.
The alleged perpetrator was Oniel Gilbourne, aged 26 a resident of Brooklyn. He was arrested for assault as a hate crime on September 12th, along with charges of criminal possession of a weapon.
As of September 17th, Gilbourne is back on the streets, according to court filings, having posted his $30,000 bail.
He is next due in court on December 3rd.
