Oholei Torah Remembers “Mameh” on Shloshim

Today, the Sixth of Kislev, was the Shloshim for Mrs. Sarah Deitsch, OBM. Mrs. Deitsch was the wife of Reb Dovid Deitsch, OBM, of New Haven, CT. They were known as the “Tatteh and Mameh of Oholei Torah,” and under the directives of the Rebbe they become partners with Reb Michoel Teitelbaum as co-founders in the mossad’s massive growth and accomplishments.

In a show of appreciation and loyalty, a gathering of the Elementary divisions was held in the Grand Ballroom, which included Torah, Tefilla and Tzedoka. Special Tehillim was also recited for the current situation in Eretz Yisroel.

In an exciting and unique manner, the children heard about the life of Mrs. Deitsch and a special story of her mesirus nefesh, told by the famous master story teller, Rabbi Yitzy Erps.

The children were also addressed by Rabbi Hershel Lustig, Dean, and Rabbi Yosef Chaim Rosenfeld, Executive Director

Following the children’s rally, the Deitsch family davened mincha with the Mechina division, and held a siyum mishnayos. Rabbi Sholom Goldstein, principal, spoke to the talmidim, followed by Rabbi Yosef Chaim Rosenfeld.

The Executive Board of Oholei Torah joined the many members of the Deitsch family for the event. Rabbi Rosenfeld announced that the upcoming annual Dinner, which will be held on February 17 / 7 Adar, will be dedicated to Mrs. Deitsch, OBM.
