Mother Finds Creative Way to Support Local Education

Shadora.com is an online discount jewelry retailer run by sisters Shoshanah Posner of Crown Heights and Devorah Schectman of Miami. A member of the 1saleaday.com family, Shadora takes advantage of low overhead costs and high volume to offer competitive prices on its jewelry.

Shadora’s selection is especially popular among Crown Heights’ youth, commonly bought as gifts for birthdays, Bas-Mitzvahs and that special teacher.

Grateful for the overwhelming positive feedback from the community, Shani and Devoiri felt that they wanted to give back, starting with the Crown Heights community. They devised a scheme to do just that.

For three days, from Today, August 14th through Thursday, August 16, Shadora will donate $1 to United Lubavitcher Yeshiva for every purchase over $15.

“We wanted to give back to our community and we thought – what better cause can there be than supporting education” Shani Posner, whose son attends United Lubavitch Yeshiva, told CrownHeights.info.

Many customers were delighted to discover that they can benefit the local community by simply shopping for gifts at Shadora.com.

“I am so glad that Crown Heights businesspeople are supporting their own communities,” said one customer reached by phone.

“Now that my daughter is almost twelve and is starting to attend her classmates’ Bas Mitzvas, I decided to stock up on gifts so I don’t have to shop last minute. I bought six pairs of earrings for a very reasonable price and I got to do something good for the local community at the same time.”

“I hope more people take advantage of this opportunity,” she concluded. ”Our schools can really use the help.”
