Tzfati Thugs Savagely Beat Homeless Man

This morning at approximately 2:00 AM, two Tzfati thugs savagely beat a homeless man who often collects money at 770. Following the cruel beating, which occurred right outside 770, the assailants fled the area, leaving the man lying on the floor screaming for help.

Hearing the shouts, passersby quickly notified the Police and Hatzolah, who arrived on the scene minutes later. After assessing the wounds, the man was loaded on to a stretcher and transported to Hospital for further Medical treatment.

While the passersby and Emergency Respondents where occupied with helping the severely injured man, a large number of Tzfatis gathered outside as well, yet their concern was of a totally different nature: intimidating and threatening possible witnesses from speaking to the Police.

770 regulars relate that this is by far not a first-occurrence. It is reported that a gang of up to five Tzfatim has been terrorizing this man for quite a while, including physical violence on more than one occasion.

In one of those instances he was attacked by a number of assailants who covered his face with a towel (a known Tzfati tactic) and struck him repeatedly. The identity of these attackers is well known among their Tzfati comrades, yet as mentioned above, their efforts are concentrated on intimidating witnesses.

    Call Homeland Security and ICE and have them show up and take them to the airport.

    Problem solved. It does not take a genius to figure out how to stop this problem; it takes leadership which appears to be lacking.

    if you find one of them doing a bad thing , not the entire Yeshiva with Bli AY”H 450 kids of the Yeshiva is at folt ,

    i grew up in that Yeshiva , it hurts me to see giving them such name ,

    a word of the Rebbe is holly by them ,
    look when it comes to Mivtzo’im how they do it , to Ta’hallucho who walks till The Bronx ,

    learn in the Sichoss of the years 5751 & 5752 they observe it , they do it with no Pshetllech ,

    any one learns different good for them , this doesn’t mean we Should fight , we are all the Rebbes Childrem , the Rebbe surely didnt want that fight ,

    and Tfass is not the only Yeshiva who learns the above SICHOSS ,
    Tzfass Yeshiva must have many many good parts too ,

Because now, they police can start understanding that they are just thugs who are Jewish and don’t belong in 770 or in Chabad at all.     You guys would be reacting totally differently if the guy tried to steal a Sefer Torah or destroy
    a part of the Shul, or R”L try to harm a yid on the street at that hour

    770 is not a homeless shelter nor is it a place for every meshuganeh to come and disturb.

    Even if he was stealing, if he was Jewish, does halacha allow you to go beating on him? I get the impression that this was not a case of self-defense. If he’s committing a non-violent crime, just get the Bais Din to approve calling the COPS.
    In the case of a non-Jew, well, the law of the land, whether we like it or not, prohibits “excessive use of force,” when subduing an evil-doer. Until the Moshiach comes, such tactics will not be tolerated by the powers at be.

    Some people have suggested that the person is a selling drugs. If this is the case, he should not be allowed in 770 even if he is ot selling to Jews.

    Everyone knows that this individual (named Sammy) is a drug dealer, who uses drugs quite frequently himself and goes crazy in 770. If Shmira/Shomrim would deal with him, the Tzfatim wouldn’t have to. But they don’t, so they did. More power to them, I say!
