Art Enthusiasts Flock to New Crown Heights Gallery
Residents of Crown Heights and other parts of the city have been steadily trickling in to explore The Creative Soul, an art gallery that recently opened its doors. The exhibition is located at The Mayan Center, a newly renovated community space on Kingston Ave.
The gallery features the work of three Orthodox Jewish and Chasidic artists: Daniel Wolfe, Jodi Reznik and Natalia Kadish. Titled “Personal Freedoms,” the exhibition, Creative Soul’s first, incorporates themes of the Passover holiday that coincided with the opening.
The gallery’s curator is Rabbi Yitzchok Moully, The Creative Soul’s founder.
Moully, 35, is a Chasidic rabbi and artist who works with photo silkscreen works that portray important symbols of Jewish life.
Aside from its monthly art exhibitions, The Creative Soul offers dance groups and open mic nights, as reported by Sara Trappler Spielman in the Wall Street Journal.
Works of art exhibited by Creative Soul run for sale anywhere between $300 and $3,000. The gallery can be viewed through May 11.

ASB
where nosh world used to be
Not from here
Need to change the name or spelling of your center. It sounds really South American and quasi idolatrous. For those of you that never studied world history in grade school the Mayan, Aztec, and Inca Indians populated Central and South America and some of these groups built large temples which attract a lot of tourists.

Go Rabbi Moully !!
We love you in Australia. Such an inspiration….
Mayan
For those who studied Hebrew in grade school Mayan means a wellspring.
