A suspicious looking stranger was seen outside Beis Rivkah today, taking pictures and behaving erratically. The school’s security guard approached the man after waiting in vain for him to move along, but he refused to leave and kept insisting that he wanted to go inside and pray.

Bizarre Incident at BR Leaves Man with Broken Leg

A suspicious looking stranger was seen outside Beis Rivkah today, taking pictures and behaving erratically. The school’s security guard approached the man after waiting in vain for him to move along, but he refused to leave and kept insisting that he wanted to go inside and pray.

The security guard then called Shomrim, who were also unsuccessful at persuading the creep to continue on his way. Fearing for the safety of the students, Shomrim summoned the police, who were stationed on the corner as an added security precaution since the Toulouse massacre.

As the police began to approach, the man jumped into his vehicle in order to flee. Unfortunately, a community member who was on his way to pick up his daughter from the school happened to be passing behind the car as it was backing up on its way out of the parking space. The blue Chrysler backed right into him, pinning him against the next parked car and crushing his leg.

The police immediately reached inside the car, took away his keys, and conducted a ‘Terry’ search to ensure that the man was unarmed. They also did a checkup on the man’s record. Although he was not the owner of the vehicle, and did not have proper insurance or registration, the police did not have sufficient cause to detain the man, and he was permitted to leave after they took down his information.

The injured father was taken by Hatzolah to the hospital, where he received treatment for his shattered leg.

Please keep an eye out for this man, and contact Shomrim if he is again seen acting suspiciously.

    She refused to move and said she is waiting for someone?!?

    I live in france, not far from Toulouse; i teach in the jewish school; yesterday, a similar incident took place where 2 arab women wearing long garb stood in front of the school and asked to enter “to pray in the synagogue” they were told that the muslim prayer house is down the block, but they insisted coming in, thats when the SPCJ (local shmirah) was called in.
