Oholei Torah 7-8 Grades Go on Tmimim Excursion

For the past few months talmidim in Grades 7 and 8 in Oholei Torah have been abuzz with preparations for a trip of the year, where the talmidim, Melamdim and hanhola spend quality time in a relaxed atmosphere, yet imbued with proper hanhogah and chassishikeit, befitting talmidim of Oholei Torah.

The preparations included smhiras hasedorim, learning b’hasmodah, behavior and ba’al peh projects. Once a talmid acquired enough points, he was then invited to join the trip. Those talmidim who worked extra hard, also were given substantial scholarships off the nominal fee.

The trip went to Rocky Horse Ranch resort, where the entire resort was exclusively for the 150 Oholei Torah boys, the teachers with their wives and children, 12 staff members, and a trained EMT.

Two filled days included Horse back riding, skiing, snow tubing, indoor water park, BBQ, catered meals, 24/7 snack bar and special entertainment, which included a surprise concert from Benny Freidman.

Of course times for Learning, Chitas, Rambam and davening were kept up, and with great chayos!

Many parents and supporters generously contributed to the trip, understanding the importance and impact such projects have on the talmidim.

The program was co-ordinated by principal Rabbi Sholom Goldstein, Yossi Bryski of OTEG, Zusha Greisman, and a full team of staff and teachers. Rabbi Hershel Lustig, Dean, joined the trip as well, and gave his full encouragement.
