Underground Explosions Occur near School Bus

Crown Heights [CHI] — Two underground explosions occurred at around 8:30 this morning on the corner of Carroll St. near Troy. Ave. The FDNY arrived at the scene and evacuated the surrounding houses because high levels of carbon monoxide were detected.

A school bus full of children from the Ohr Menachem boys school was driving by when the explosions occurred, but thank G-d no one was hurt; the bus driver evacuated the children to safety and walked them to school.

B’H no one was hurt! What was the cause? Is this connected to the street repairs or just neglect on the part of the City? CH seems to be the neglected area of “our fair city” . . big time!

The bus was strange. Why couldn’t he just continue driving the bus away with all the children instead of taking them off the bus and walking them to school??? They were in no way involved or in danger!!! He left the bus in the way and a firefighter and police had to move it out of the way so they could access the fire hydrant and the fire. Strange!!!!!
