Friendship Circle Volunteers Get Together

Over forty Bochurim studying in Oholei Torah and Chovevei Torah have volunteered for the Crown Heights Friendship Circle. Throughout the year, they will dedicate their daily dinner break to visit special needs children in their homes, study and interact with them, and accompany them to Friendship Circle’s various programs and activities.

On Tuesday evening, these volunteers were treated to a lavish dinner, where they heard from Rabbi Mendel Nemes, former director of The Friendship Circle, who gave over some ‘tricks of the trade’ and anecdotes about how to work with and succeed with children and young adults with special needs.

Yossi Smoller – coordinator for the boys’ division of the Crown Heights Friendship Circle – emphasized the importance of dedication and consistency, explaining that what a volunteer learns and gains during this experience is priceless and will last a lifetime.

The Friendship Circle would like to thank its sponsors, without whom none of this would be possible.

but why does it look like an event for girls?
i don’t know, it just doesn’t look like a group of yeshivah bochurim, whose sole mission is to learn.
please tell me, am i wrong?
