Beloved Maggid Shiur’s Birthday Marked
In what has become a timeless tradition, one of the most beloved Maggid Shiurs in the entire Chabad Yeshiva system had his birthday marked on the windshields and light poles of Crown Heights. The 14th of Cheshvan marks Reb Avrohom Gerlitzky’s 64th birthday.
Local shops, such as Gombos Bakery and Arele’s Bagels, sponsored leaflets to be placed on cars and a massive banner that was stretched across Kingston Avenue at Union Street, all with a similar message: “Happy Birthday Reb Avrohom – World’s Greatest Maggid Shiur”.

you sound like one of those guys that are scared of their own shadow, why is it a chillul Hashem for bochrim to show their love and appreciation for their maggid shiur, rabbi gerlitsky was my best maggid shiur through all my years as a bochur and I can totaly understand all the deep love and admiration that his bochrim have for him, it’s really only a reflection of his love to them.
