Eighth Graders Go Boating in the Heart of Manhattan

Bochrim of OTEG (Oholei Torah Eighth Grade) went on a much anticipated trip to Central Park, where they went boating as a reward for finishing the ‘Tishrei Challenge’ over the last month.

The ‘Tishrei Challenge’ is 18 steps of projects, including: coming to davening on time, participating in Tishrei Mivztoim, special learning projects and keeping up with the “demands” of the busy month of Tishrei.

Those bochurim who participated in the Challenge and reached 14 of the 18 steps were treated to a special trip to Manhattan’s Central Park, which included sports, boating and a picnic. And, of course, they found the opportunity to do mivtzoim with yidden they met on the trip.

The program was organized by Yossi Bryski, and HaTmimim, Y. D. Shmueli and R. Telsner, who worked very hard to make the project and trip a great success.

thanks for all the negative comments… first of all they don’t let over 11 year old’s wear life jackets there (in central park), the water is waist high! and second of all the boys may just like to wear their hats and jackets. thanks to oholei torah the boys can enjoy some out door trips and not just sit over their gemoras all day!
