Students and Bochurim Learn Together at Mishmor

This past Thursday night students of Lubavitcher Yeshiva have been paired up with zal bochrim for the third consecutive year of Mishmor. The pairs learn a sicha together each Thursday night, followed by an exciting ‘camp style’ night activity.

In its first week, more than 80 students participated, each learning one on one with an older bochur, an opportunity a child does not get on any given day.

In a letter to parents, assistant principal Rabbi Turk wrote: “I have not seen a child benefit from any program or event more than he does from Mishmor.”

Mishmor, the brain-child of the tmimim Zevy Gutleizer and Chida Lavitansky, is now organized by the bochurim of Oholei Torah and Lubavitcher Yeshiva respectively, yet the commitment of each and every bochur to the future of our community is what makes it the success that it is – giving up their supper break each and every Thursday night to learn with these younger students.
