I was on the telephone and I felt the house shake. I thought maybe a truck was pushing against my house. It was not as strong as the earthquake that affected Crown Heights on a Shabbos morning around 1979 or 1980. Then I felt my house actually quivering.

No offense Yidden but I’m from California and 5.9 is nothing–we eat those for breakfast.

  • Shakin- all over

“That was not an earthquake, that was our Founding Fathers rolling over in their graves!” (from a Facebook friend)

It can also be said to reflect the insanity that’s going on in the Rebbe’s Sh’chunah

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE BEAMS OF YOUR HOUSE. IF THE GROUNDS SHAKE IT SHAKES NO MATTER WHATS ON IT OR HOW STRONG IT IS. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU. I SUGGEST YOU GET YOURSELF CHECKED OUT ASAP

Don’t freak out. I lost my condo and almost everything I owned to a 6.8 (or was it a 7.1?) many years back. Thank G-d for insurance which covered me from head to toe.

The way you speak to people in your comments is the reason the second bais hamikdash was destroyed, and probably the reason G-d felt the need to send an earthquake to shake us up to get us back on track!
there is no need to be nasty to human beings! All your doing is making G-d sad…
