Oholei Torah Stands Ready for Yud Shvat

Mossad Chinuch Oholei Torah – Oholei Menachem, the very first yeshiva the Rebbe founded in 5716/1956, stands ready as we celebrate the Shnas HaShishim of the Rebbe’s leadership. All 1600 talmidim, ka”h, in all nine divisions have learned and davened, each in their level, in preparation for this Yud Shvat.

Below is a short synopsis of what each division has done;

Beis Hamedrash Oholei Torah

Early Morning Seder – for four weeks over 150 bochurim came to seder chassidus at 7:00 am, to add another half hour of learning chassidus.

Seder Sichos – For the last week in preparation, they added to the night seder as well, from 9:30-10:10 learning sichos and ma’amorim of the Rebbe. Bochurim who came on a regular basis were joined a raffle for a set of likutei sichos and ma’amorim meluket.

Shabbos Seudah – Oholei Torah organized a Seudah Shabbos for the Beis Medrash bochurim and the mesivtas from across the world, over 16 yeshivas registered, with close to 1000 bochurim joining together. Following the seudah a farbrengen was held with mashpi’im and rosehip yeshivas.

Mesivta Oholei Torah

A special morning seder was added with almost complete attendance, for 30 days.

The bochurim also as a group went to the Ohel, and had class farbrengens on Thursday night. Friday night the bochurim joined the seudas shabbos with all the other yeshivas, and Shabbos day they gathered in yeshiva for mincha and seder niggunim

Elementary Yeshivas

The entire school of over 1000 talmidim went to the Ohel, each class with their rebbe.

In addition

The grades pre 1-A thru 2 had a chassidishe farbrengen, on Friday morning, with niggunim, special treats and stories of the Rebbe. The boys also chazzered Bosi L’Gani and danced with great simchah.

In grades 3-4 each talmid had a special program where the students learn bosi l’gani ba’al peh, were extra careful in davening. For this they had a checklist, and had a special raffle.

The classes in Grades 5-6 had special learning programs, and melvah malka’s and farbrengens with their rebbe’s. Many events were hosted at the talmidim’s homes. In addition to learning bosi l’gani ba’al peh, there was a special art contest in the ten mivtzoim.

A hashkem program for grades 6-8 was held where the boys come to learn bosi l’gani in the morning 30 minutes before shachris with an older bochur from the Beis medrash. This was a most successful program where even in the blizzards, the talmidim came on time, to properly prepare for yud Shvat

OTEG – Oholei Torah Eighth Grade

A full weekend program began on Wednesday night with a shiur and farbrengen, followed on Thursday with an early seder chassidus, and a trip to the Ohel. On Friday they ad the zechus to go to the Freideke Rebbe’s apartment, and had a full seder of seudas, farbrengens throughout the entire shabbos.

Kindergarten

With special hats and l’chaims the youngest of the division had rally’s, and even learnt the beginning lines of bosi l’gani by heart, a great accomplishment for these youngsters

Reb Michoel’s Minyan

A grand farbrengen is being help for all the talmidim who attend Reb Michoel’s minyan.
