Different and Better at the New Qcumber

Stepping into Qcumber café for lunch today it all seemed much different, wider and much more polished. In an effort to change and improve what was already a great restaurant, the management has made a series of changes to the layout and preparation, which improved the overall experience.

In order to better meet the daily demand, all the appliances have been cleared out of the sitting area and moved behind the counter, which itself has significantly shrunk, providing for much more sitting space and room for customers.

The owner told me that they will be improving their menu, and will be offering many new products, including an espresso bar with a large variety of lattes, cappuccinos, milkshakes, and smoothies.

He also told me to expect a whole new format for the resturant in the near future, but didn’t want to elaborate saying it will be quite the surprise.

    I always find that when I’m looking for a fresh good salad, qcumber is the place I go to….quick service, fresh food….what else can one ask for?

    It’s hard to accomplish with such small spaces in Crown Heights, but it looks like they’ve improved a bit on the Ess & Bench model! Wasn’t there a black fence in Ess & Bench to keep the customers in line?

    I’m trying to loose weight for my wedding in two month and I’m eating at qcumbe every day now I eat a salad and you can mix it with tuna or egg salad I also have some of there fresh made sushi on the spot and in the last month I lost 8 lbs that’s 2 lbs a week so I hope to keep to it that I loose by my wedding 24 lbs might have to make a new kapota lets hope

    Had pizza there yesterday. They just put in a real pizza oven, so the pizza tastes great!

    They have the most delicious and unique pizzas ever!! Especially in Crown Heights!!!! Their food is amazing especially the cheese fries!!!!

  • design disappointment

    I’m not crazy about the new look. While it is more spacious, the design is rather cold and unwelcoming, as is the lack of a ceiling.

  • Just change artwork

    Looks great. They updated everything except for the artwork… if you put beautiful artwork up, it would give the whole place a much more upper class feel…
    Also, agree with previous poster, put the ceiling back up..

    wow! can they post there # and a menue, so i wont have to shlep out in the old to find out what they have?
