Darchai Menachem Holds Student Auction

Darchai Menachem held a student auction yesterday. The auction which is held 3 times a year gives the chance for kids to cash in on earned points for a prize.

Each week the boys bring home a progress chart. It is an accurate weekly document informing parents of the student’s overall progress in attendance, general behavior and class performance. The Progress Chart system has become a powerful motivational tool and has been very successful Parents use the point sheet to measure their son’s progress at school and encourage them with weekly or monthly incentives.

Each week, students are allotted points for every subject, including attendance, davening and homework. Each subject (unit) is worth 12 points. There are ten units with the maximum amount of points per week totaling 120. Each student is required to earn 100 points per week. If a student got 90 points in his first week, he must earn 110 points the next week to reach a “point average” or he can do so accumulatively over the upcoming weeks as long as he has reaches an average of 100 before trip week.

After each trip boys are able to take the points they have earned that are over “point average” and buy prizes for their achievements.

This student auction comes just a week away from the Darchai Chanukah auction. Be a part of Darchai Menachem, give your gift of education & Darchai will give you a gift from our grab bag.

  • It-s got nothing to do...

It has nothing to do with the school. No matter which school your child is in, if the teacher cares about his student, and shows him that he cares, the child will do great in that teachers class and will be eager to please him.
