Ever wanted to be part of the frenzy and frolic of simchas beis hashoeva, but could barely drag your feet off the yom tov table long enough to put the kugel away? Well here’s your chance to relax and, at the same time know you’re fueling the very force that makes simchas beis hashoeva the off-the-ground experience it is today.

Have You Seen This Sign Before?

Ever wanted to be part of the frenzy and frolic of simchas beis hashoeva, but could barely drag your feet off the yom tov table long enough to put the kugel away? Well here’s your chance to relax and, at the same time know you’re fueling the very force that makes simchas beis hashoeva the off-the-ground experience it is today.

If your Sukkah is accessible from the outside (or if you wish to sponsor one that is), than you too can join the dozens of Sukkahs that have boasted a “Kol Dichfin” sign for over two decades now, generating a feeling of Achdus within the community, as well as embracing outsiders coming in.

Is it any wonder that the Rebbe himself would give a bottle of Mashkeh each year to participate in this project?

Lists of participating Sukkahs are distributed during the Chol Hamoed nights to all (this year, Motzei Shabbos, sun. and mon. night), who then know that they can feel free to “Sukkah Hop” from one Kol Dichfin Sukkah to the next.

Participating Sukkahs receive a laminated sign, a bottle of wine/mashkeh, a list of stores offering discounts, and funding for basic refreshments if necessary. All you need to do is put up your sign, so that people know they can drop in between midnight to dawn, put out whatever yom tov leftovers and/or refreshments you wish and yes − put your feet up, guilt free, knowing that in your z’chus, people are dancing the night away.

In the merit of the Mitzvah of Hachnosas Orchim and Ahavas Chinam, adding Achdus and Simcha in the community, may “Horachamon hu yakim lanu es sukas dovid hanofeles”, through the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu.

  • Yes this is such an amazing thing.

My succah is one of them, and im proud!
    Keep up the good work>

  • Broke but hospitable anyway

to all those who do it…kol hakovod. My sukkah is off my porch one floor up, so we can’t participate, but my sons drag people in all night. It costs us a small fortune in beer, mashkeh, soda & nosh, not to mention the REAL food they eat.

Can I get a discount for what I spend?

    1. it would be wonderful if you started the same idea in your own shchuna, but if you would like to participate in this crown heights project, you can sponser a succa if you like

a check is available if necessary to cover basic refreshments and you can add whatever you like acc. to your means (many times people understand its a succa that is open to all and they feel they have a place to sit down and eat if they likw)
