Game 1 of the Crown Heights Softball Leagues championship opened with Dovid Smetana, owner of Advantage Wholesale Supply which sponsors the Skullcaps team, throwing out the first pitch (a strike!) and opening the game which ended in an ugly loss for the Landmark Fundings Red Heifers.
Skullcaps Sponsor Throws 1st Pitch as Team Wins
Game 1 of the Crown Heights Softball Leagues championship opened with Dovid Smetana, owner of Advantage Wholesale Supply which sponsors the Skullcaps team, throwing out the first pitch (a strike!) and opening the game which ended in an ugly loss for the Landmark Fundings Red Heifers.
In the first inning the Skullcaps jumped out and took a 2 nothing lead, and the Heifers came back with one run in the third, but a blown play in the fourth inning ended with the Skullcaps in a commanding lead of 8-1, one which the Heifers would not recover from.
The final score was 8-2.
Game 2 will begin at 8:00pm promptly on Thursday in the St. Johns Recreation on Troy Avenue and Bergen Street.
