Menachem Education Foundation: 3rd Annual Graduation

On Tuesday, August 3, at 8 PM the third graduating class of the Menachem Education Foundation’s Teacher Training Program celebrated a graduation ceremony combined with a parenting lecture at the Crown Condos.

A group of 16 future educators graduated following a year-long program consisting of over 120 hours of instruction combined with 10 hours of mentoring and student teaching. The program covers key areas of instruction including lesson planning, differentiating instruction, engaging children and best practices of classroom management. The graduates received Certificates in Educational Training from Medgar Evers College-CUNY.

Family, alumni, community leaders and members all gathered to mark the occasion. Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum, Principal of Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh, delivered a guest lecture entitled “Parenting: Practical Guidance for Raising Solid Children”. Rabbi Rosenblum shared ideas for inspiring and transforming our children to grow up to be warm, selfless and chassidishe people.

Rabbi Yehuda Green, a Graduate of the Menachem Education Foundation, delivered a short speech in which he reflected on how the program helped him become more focused and more devoted to improving educational practice.

Mr. Zaki Tamir, newly elected head of the Vaad Hakohol of Crown Heights, handed the certificates of completion to the graduates and spoke briefly regarding his plans for improving education and educational opportunities in Crown Heights.
