Is Vacation Crown Heights a Real Vacation?!

Back again by popular demand! Vacation Crown Heights has begun it’s 2nd week!

What brought smiles to the faces of 100’s of women last summer and memories of inspiration, fun, guidance and friendship is back again with so much more.

Workshops in parenting, marriage, home management, and hands-on demos in beauty, home decorating, culinary arts and much more. Classes in Rashi Sichos, Maamorim, Tefillah and Jewish Home are just a sample of the variety of topics being covered.

Vacation Crown Heights has taken Crown Heights to the next level!

More than 100 women attended the first week were of a very diverse range of women and girls- single, married, retired, mothers, wives-young and not so young!

Some of the participants eagerly shared their comments on the program.

Choula:
Vacation CH is very inspiring and very useful for the ladies whose kids went away. We have been getting in touch with halacha, chassidus and issues of everyday living. We learn lessons that touch our lives. I enjoy its very pleasant atmosphere, cool and clean, very relaxing! Its a real vacation!

Rina:
The subjects have been very diverse, from How to make Shabbos in Two Hours to a discussion on After Life. The courses cover everything we’re interested in and we have to know.

Hadassa:
For me it’s been wonderful because I didn’t go away and am doing the things I like to do and do not have a chance during the year when the kids are around.
If thats not a fulfilling vacation-what is?!

Ruth:
My favorite class so far has been Leah Abraham’s about Tchiyas Hamaisim.
Leah is very well versed in this subject to the smallest detail. All my questions were answered and we learned the answers to all the questions we did not have. I feel more oriented to the period of time that is immediately close.

Leah Rochel:
To be able to leave my house and have a break from the regular routine is a real treat. I look forward to the variety of classes and the faces I will meet everyday.

Natalie:
I feel like I live in my own small world within a very big neighborhood and I feel lost. This program gives me a chance to meet and network with some of the wonderful neighbors we have. I feel so much less lonely and have a new appreciation of Crown Heights.

Shterny:
I’m so excited to be learning skills I desperately need and never had an opportunity to learn till now.

Chaya Mushka:
I really enjoy the combination of intellectual learning classes and practical life classes at VacationCH. I feel like it helps me be the balanced person the way the Torah me to be.

Malka :
Vacation Crown Heights gives me a focus in my chassidishkeit and yiddishkeit that I can use during the summer months. I am so thankful to all those that arranged this. Yasher Koach!

Leah:
Feige Shaglov’s classes are a real highlight. She is very well prepared and it was obvious that the glowing reports one hears regarding her culinary expertise and balabatishkeit are not exaggerations. They say the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach.

Esther Leah:
Miri Lipskier is so fine Her warm demeanor coupled with fluency in subject manner and enthusiasm leaves us with a clear perspective on the Rebbes insights into the womens role. Rabbi Wolfs Halacha series are great. So clear, thorough and practical I did not know a Halacha class could be so engaging! .
