Qcumber Hosts its first Sheva Brochos

    It was a beautiful sheva brochos that I’m having an event there next week!! Food was outstanding and service was impeccable.

    for some reason pepople don’t know that the imnhag by chassidim is that sheva brachos is fleishig! and a minhag is stronger than halacha…ask a rov that’s the best. might seem like a small thing, but with all the $ spent on the wedding and brachos to chosson and kalla, it’s a small thing to get it right!!! SAME APPLIES TO A BRIS, IT’S A SEUDAS MITZVA EVEN IF U CHOOSE TO IT IN THE WEE HRS OF THE MORN!!!! YOU HAVE TO WASH AND EAT FLIESHIG!!!!! do it right!!!! MAZAL TOV, ALL THE BRACHOS TO THE NEW COUPLE AND FAMILY, . the place does look nice!

    Someone seems to be confusing a seudas bris and sheva brochos. Halacha recommends (necessitates) fleishig at a bris. Meanwhile the minhag in America is mezonos rolls (a seuda and meznos rolls? can’t be. Anyway…) with cheese and lox (fish and milk products are not eaten together by the zehirim behalacha.)
    Sheva brochos fleishig? Huh? The whole meal is not a chiyuv (like a bris, which MUST hve a seuda). The chiyuv is: If you had a meal with chosson and kallah during these seven days, THEN you need to make 7 blessing at benching. HOWEVER the Bais Shmuel (not the shul, the pirush on Even HaEzer) says that if it is mixed with no mechitza you cannot make sheva brochos. (Some pirushim allow families without a mechitza.)
    So Qcumber is off to a banging start, with a new substandard of yiddishkeit here in our midst.

    Unfortunately today CH is left wing modern orthodox when it comes to Yidishkeit. Mechitza, Tznius etc. are really old fashioned. Full beards are becoming less full.

    Shuls are becoming social clubs. It goes on.

    Lets face the facts. One time a Lubavitcher yungerman would never have a “chup”. Only a litvak. A litvak would not have a full beard.

    Today the Litvaks have fulll beards and no chups and by us it is the opposite. Trimmed beards and nice hairdos.
