ULYOP Hits the High Seas!

This week United Lubavatch Yeshiva of Ocean Parkway wnted to reward the past weeks 8th grade Talmidim of the week by “getting their feet wet”. So after trying hard in yeshiva they were given a chance to try on the water.

Yakov Adi and Sruli Feldman under the close guidance of Rabbi Harari learned: An Introduction to basic equipment, launching and landing any small vessel, introduction to how body, boat and blade work together, efficiency of five major strokes, how to communicate clearly with you partner, and understanding how to avoid potential dangers on the water.

After becoming very proficient with their paddles in a short amount of time they were able to elevate an uninhabited island with some brochos and pesukim. It was a great experience, that we plan to repeat in the near future. Everyone is trying to be “their best” to be called Talmud ha Shavoah and with only a few weeks left we look forward to great competition.
