What might a glass serving dish with a platinum accent and a pie slicer have in common with a bouquet of calla lilies and a bottle of pinot noir? All bring a smile to the face of a Shabbat hostess. And what sets them apart? The serving pieces will grace the Shabbat table for years to come.

What might a glass serving dish with a platinum accent and a pie slicer have in common with a bouquet of calla lilies and a bottle of pinot noir? All bring a smile to the face of a Shabbat hostess. And what sets them apart? The serving pieces will grace the Shabbat table for years to come.

Wedged in between a dairy breakfast place and a homey bakery, is a spanking new shop with crystal chandeliers, spacious floor space, and a glass façade. After much consideration of what consumers would like to be able to purchase along the main drag of the quaint Brooklyn neighborhood, Sparkles is now open on Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights. The shop features elegant and trendy gifts, and a colorful assortment of paperware, plasticware, and party favors.

The Sparkles experience is one of a kind. With personalized customer service and plenty of aisle space for baby carriages, shoppers are made to feel comfortable while shopping for the perfect paper goods for an upshern or for the special lechaim gift.

Affordable prices on over twelve hundred items make shopping for ideal Bat Mitzvah and housewarming gifts a delight. And with the selection of multi-shaped plateware and napkins to mix and match, there are so many options.

“A lot of women like to be creative,” noticed Levi Eckhaus, owner of Sparkles, “and can design their Shabbos table right here, as they walk through the store.”

Lining the wooden shelves are Victorian jewelry stands, designed mitts and aprons, decorative candles, and even disposable serveware and margarita glasses.

Visit Sparkles at 421 Kingston Avenue, located between Empire Boulevard and Montgomery Street in Brooklyn, N.Y. Store hours Monday through Wednesday are 10 AM – 7 PM, Thursday 10 AM – 10 PM, Sunday 10 AM – 6 PM, and Friday 9 AM – two hours before sundown.

I went in today & I saw something gorgeous for a gift as well as some beautiful paper goods for my forthcoming Simcha. I needed some ideas & advice & the young lady who helped me is very creative & came up with some great ideas to help me create a lovely “look.” It is an impressive store with stunning items. Just what we need…why go to Flatbush or Boro Park? And the prices are not bad at all!

very impressive and the name really represents all the sparkles inside:) Great job. it is a pleasure to see stores that are clean and pleasant to walk in.

on the other hand with all the space for carriages and browsing, I would be VERY nervous to walk-in with a toddler…..all the nice and shiny boxes, toys, bowls and plush toys are just asking to be picked up by someone’s young hands:) Maybe a little arrangement to make open shelves a little bit more saver is possible.
