Americare, one of the leaders in home health care, is now serving patients and residents in the Crown Heights neighborhood.

In its awareness of the needs of the Crown Heights community, Americare is expanding its services to include assistance with Medicaid applications and assistance in assessing for eligibility of home care, including aides, nurses and therapists.

Many grateful families are already receiving Americare’s services and home care. “Since my parents’ move to New York from Cleveland, Americare has been so helpful with everything we need,” says Mrs. Rivka Kotlarsky. “My father cannot walk well and they provide every service he needs, including warm helpers whom we feel are now part of our family,” the Judaic high school teacher attested.

As part of his work with Chevra Simchas Shabbos v’Yom Tov, Rabbi Benjy Stock has employed Americare’s services for the past three years. “A nurse comes every week to examine an elderly male and middle-aged female I care for,” Rabbi Stock explained. “Americare’s help has been fantastic. They fit the aides to the patients so that if a patient speaks Russian, a Russian nurse is a perfect fit.”

Americare is committed to becoming the leading provider of home care services to the Crown Heights Community.

“We strive to understand what our patients need, and we provide it in a caring and compassionate way,” Says Mendy Coën, director of the Patient Relations Department for Americare.

Americare works jointly with Crown Heights organizations such as the Crown Heights Community Council and Ahavas Chesed, as well as with the community doctors: Dr. Rosen, Dr. Isaroff, and many others.

  • getting older by the day

Sounds like an ad to me, not a news article. Still, it’s good that the infirm are getting good at-home care. As the aging population increases & we live longer, there’s a growing need for such services.
