Letter: “The bond between CH and Shluchim is Legendary… Thank You”
Following the successful conclusion of the International Kinus Hashluchos in Crown Heights last week, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky wrote a letter on behalf of the conference thanking Crown Heights for playing host to over 3,000 Shluchos, and opening their homes.
Dear Crown Heights resident,
This past weekend, Shabbos Parshas Yisro, Crown Heights played host to over 3,000 Shluchos and guests who had come from the four corners of the globe for the largest ever Kinus Hashluchos.
Although the significance of the Kinus is well known, we sometimes fall short of actually realizing how much the Kinus and the chance to come “home” means to every single Shlucha.
As Shluchim and Shluchos deal with great “Mesiras Nefesh” on a daily basis, from home schooling their children to shipping in kosher supplies, the aim of the Kinus is to rejuvenate and reinvigorate the Shluchos, giving them the necessary in spiration and motivation to take back to their families and communities.
The bond between Crown Heights and the Shluchim is legendary. The unbelievable Hachnosas Orchim with which the residents of Crown Heights opened their doors for the Shluchos this past weekend really personifies the expression that “Chassidim Ein Mishpocha”, that we are part of a family of Chassidim who are true partners in the Rebbe’s work.
Therefore, on behalf of the Vaad Hakinus and the Shluchos that are stationed worldwide, I would like to express our deep gratitude and thanks for the way in which you have opened up your homes to the Shluchos and their guests this past weekend.
May this act of Achdus bring on the Brochos of ברכנו אבינו כולנו כאחד and may this Shchuna be host to only good and happy occasions, .עד ביאת גואל צדק במהרה בימינו ממש
Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky
On behalf of the International Conference of Shluchos

This letter is spot on! your hachnasas orchim is something to see, you make us feel so welcome, tell us the best places we can buy all the many things on our shopping lists, invite us for splendid shabbos meals, all the while making us feel that we are your guests of honour! Without YOU all there could be no kinnus. Thank you to all of you who opened up your homes and hearts to us so generously!
we thanks you
Thanks to YOU as well – for all the good work the shluchim do in this very world we all currently live in. Keep it up! We need you!
kinus
Beautiful letter, thank you Rabbi Kotlarsky for making the kinus what it is.
Out of towners
A thank you is needed to all the C. H. residents for all they do all year round, not only the weekend of the convention.
We sleep at night knowing our children are welcome in thier home away from home, Crown heights.
When we need an emergency favor to complete a function, Crown Heightsers are running with packages to meet up with somebody at the airport.
We sent our mekuravim to stay a shabbos in thier homes, trusting they will be our extention in C.H.
The list goes on and on. Thank you all, for all you do all year round.

Nice, nice, nice.
Let-s become full time partners!
Let’s become full time partners!
We open our houses, but we need to do more. We need to open our wallets and be full partners with the shluchim and shluchos. Like Yissochor and Zevulun, we need to set aside a precentage of our income to assist the dire financial crisis that shluchim face.
To host is nice, to support financially is divine. Let us be partners in divinity!
Rabbi of Agudah and Shliach in the mount
I salute you for writing this letter to the C.H. residents, indeed you give them the credit they deserve for their incredible Hachnosas Orchim.
C.H. residents are the biggest Machnissey Orchim…every month is (always) something else..When it comes to the Kinus Hashluchim/chos, they go out of their way to give everything they have to the finest of Lubavitch, they deserve an Hakors Hatov. You are the right person in the right time to thank them. Horav Kotlarski KOL HAKAVOD.

Your letter, Rabbi Kotlarski, is very heartwarming. Nevertheless, I find it find it obligatory to refer you to countless sichos of the Rebbe which point to a much deeper and integral connection between the Shluchim/Shluchois and Crown Heights.
In any event, the letter is much appreciated.
