Shabbos Achdus Marked a Great Success!

From Shabbos morning through Motzoai Shabbos many residents and guests took part in the Shabbos Achdus, the second of its kind, which was organized by the Mispalelim of Bais Shmuel-Chabad. Hundreds of men woman and children took part in the Tefilos, Farbrengens and Shiurim throughout the day.

    Shabbos Achdus??? What about the Meseira that goes on here? The Shomrim Six? Divorced & widowed being ignored? Children not accepted into Yeshiva because “there’s no room”? People out of work, going hungry, families falling apart?

    WORK ON THESE THINGS! Achdus is only thought about one Shabbos a year? Addressing these issues is Achdus, too! They need 52 weeks a year effort.

    so basically, if Moshe Pinson doesn’t organize something in this community, nothing gets done…hmmm… maybe he should be in charge of the community council or something like that.. we might have a community feeling again in CH.

    DOSNT LOOK LIKE THERE WERE THAT MANY PEOPLE!! 770 AND MOST OF THE OTHER SHULS WERE FULL DURING DAVENING, NEXT YEAR THEY SHOULD DO IT IN 770 AND THEY WOULD HAVE ALOT MORE PEOPLE THERE!

    Firstly, please dont type in CAPS LOCK-ITS RUDE!!. SEcondly, It was shabbos so duh there are no pictures of davening when it was full- these pictures are from after shabbos!

    To Start at the beginning:
    During your tirade about all the problems, you forgot to mention Darfur, Global Warning, health care crisis, and crime. So why bother actually doing anything constructive until everything gets solved?
    Perhaps if you’d appreciate the fact that issues are tackled one at a time, and that by having a Shabbos Achdos no one is delegitimatizing your other issues, you’d have a clearer head to personally work on some of the problems you mention instead of merely criticizing those who do get productive things done.

    I only stopped by for a few minutes but it was a beautiful event and I came back for the 3:00 shiur by Jackobson, which was full, for all the people with the negative comments, this was a beautiful shabbos, no it’s not the answer to every problem we have in crown height’s but it a start in the right direction, A little good goes a long way. for all those that always have something negative to say, try to see the good once in a while, that’s a good start for you it will help with the achdus we so desparately need in this community.

    Thank you congregation Bais Shmuel and all the congregations that joined in. It was moving and and meaningful to be all together in achdus to remember the Holtzbergs on this past Shabbos Toldos. Rabbi Kotlarsky and Rabbi Jacobson spoke from the depths of emotion and erudition. The kiddush was beautiful, too.
