Oholei Torah Classmates Reunite After 20 Years
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Gimmel Tammuz is typically a time where all Chabad Chasidim go to the Rebbe’s Ohel and along the way many Lubavitchers will see others they haven’t seen in some time, however for one group of friends seeing each other on Gimmel Tammuz wasn’t something that was going to happen by accident or fortuitously, it was a long prior planned reunion of the 8th grade Oholei Torah of the year 5748/1988.
At the home of a dear classmate Mordechai Shapiro, Shluchim, and business men classmates gathered to reunite and farbreng, to merit the complete and speedy recovery of a dear friend to all Levi Yitzchok ben Tzirel. Rabbi Faitel Levin the teacher of that 8th grade joined the young men, to share memories, reminisce and inspire. Speakers included, Mordechai Shapiro, Nechemia Deitsch, Rabbi Levin Moishe Shapiro, Aaron Isaac Benyominson & the classes newest favorite principal Rabbi Sholom Ber Halberstam, then they were all treated to a power point presentation which included memories, photos and slogans chosen by those in attendance to be their favorite. After the prepared schedule was a spontaneous Farbrengen until 3:00 am. This event was organized by Meir Geisinsky and friends.
