CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Sunday afternoon Crown Heightsers got to enjoy a unique event, and probably the first of its kind in the neighborhood, of tasting fine wines and imported cheeses together with Jeff (Yaakov) Morgan, maker of Covenant wines.

Who cares about the wine and cheese–the B/W photography is great!

Hey Me, wine and cheese is only a taayva. What about all these stores that are going “green?” That’s a whole other religion!

  • An avid cheese fan

Moshe Vogel of Natural and Kosher cheese was there, to answer people’s questions about his company’s cheese. The very popular pepper jack cheese was a huge hit! People were especially impressed with the smoothness, and perfect kick that it has.

  • coordinate women-s/men-s events please

    Bs”d
Let’s try to not make women’s and men’s events at the same time, so that there is always someone available to watch the kids. At the same time as the wine tasting, was the N’shei U’bnos Chabad convention, and between both events, obviously going to the convention that the Rebbe held so dearly won over-but I would have really liked to go to the wine tasting event too, and would have been able to, if it was not at the same time that my wife had to be out (for the convention in 770…So please coordinate next time. Thanks

to all the bashers out there: give it a rest already, it was a wine-and-cheese-tasting, not a club. stop blowing things out of proportion.

not a chasidishe event.wine and cheese tastings have become popular with some chabad houses here in California but i strongly feel this is goyish and post nisht for us.unfortunately so many have lost sensitivity to what’s poshut for us or not.

Unfortunatley there is more chest hair in these pics than beard hair. Thank G-d for the Margolins beards to compensate.
V’im kolz zeh: unzer ziburis iz beser vee zeeir idis. If you don’t know what that means, you’re probably a prime candidate for one of these events.
I noted at least one shliach, a relative of the host, and if you count M.P. as a shliach of Beis Shmuel, two.

The entire purpose of kosher wine is so that Jews do not drink with goyim, so therefore, an all Jew event is mutar. For all you pathetic ppl out there who need to find something wrong and hold yourselve on high horses, get a grip. Its because of ppl like you that give kids feel that if they dont hold onto your expectations they can not be religious at all. Be more careful before you start bashing someone’s hard work and parnasa. Not “chassidish”? Is that your interpretation? Get a life.

dear get a life, get real!your arguments are nonsensical.just because the wine was kosher doesn’t mean the event was so ay ay ay.this is not bashing a business, but stating that a poor choice was made for one evening.not “looking” for something, but when it’s wrong it’s wrong.i’m sorry that you can’t feel how standards have fallen.
