CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A foggy and misty opening day for the Crown Heights Softball League started with a mercy victory in an 11 to nothing shutout by the Kloppers in game 1 and a Heifers victory over the Mulles with a final score of 12 to 10.

Opening Game: Kloppers vs Skullcaps 11-0, Heifers vs Mulles 12-10

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A foggy and misty opening day for the Crown Heights Softball League started with a mercy victory in an 11 to nothing shutout by the Kloppers in game 1 and a Heifers victory over the Mulles with a final score of 12 to 10.

Great pitching work by Chezky Herz held the Skullcaps at by throughout the 4 short innings, which was sealed by a three run double by Yossi Ciment which secured the Kloppers victory.

Though the Mulles put up quite a fight, it was still no match by the solo home run by Dovi Smith and another grand slam, putting the Heifers in the lead throughout the game.

The next game will be played on Thursday evening at 7:30pm with the defending champs, the Hebrew Hammers who will be playing against the currently nameless sixth team (name suggestions welcome, email).
