Photo Gallery: Beis Shmuel Chabad’s First Annual Melava Malka

CARROLL GARDENS, Brooklyn [CHI] — In the spirit of Hakhel the members of Congregation Beis Shmuel Chabad gathered for their first ever annual Melava Malka which took place in Chabad of Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn.

During the event Awards were given to the Shul’s dedicated kitchen staff including Shimmy Shaffran, Levi Wilhelm, Yossi Schapiro and Yanky Teitelbaum. Two special awards were also given to Levy Freundlich and Moshe Rosenfeld.

Rabbi Yossi Jacobson, the Shul’s Rov, gave over a Dvar Torah afterwhich he sang ‘Gramin’ eliciting laughs from the crowd, additionally Rabbi Jacobson formed a new choir on the spot.

Entertainment was provided by the newly re-formed band Raayah Mehemna led by Yitchak Bitton who rocked the evening. Rabbi Yossi Raskin sang a beautiful rendition of the song “A Yiddishe Mame” accompanied by the newly formed Beis Shmuel choir.

Overall the event was a major success and there was a general feeling Shavas Raiyim and Achdus in the room.
