New York Life Visits the JCM

CROWN HEIGHTS — NY Life Representatives, Maria V. Collins, Director of Corporate responsibility and Isaac B. Kaman, Director of Development, visited the Jewish Children’s Museum on Tuesday January 12th.

The NY Life foundation has been sponsoring programs at the Jewish Children’s Museum for the past few years and continue to do so even through these difficult times.

This year they are co-sponsoring the ”Public School Initiative,” launched in November 2008 to introduce school children from underprivileged areas to the JCM, and teach its message of tolerance and understanding.

The tour was the first time NY Life representatives have benn at the museum, and they expressed their excitement at being involved in this wonderful institution. “I am amazed at what is being accomplished here, said Ms. Collins, as the tour stopped into the JCM’s Orientation Theater.

Said Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson, Executive Director of the Jewish Children’s Museum: “New York Life’s partnering with the JCM is a great testimony to the notion that teaching children about the traditions of other cultures, and reaching them before they learn from the negative influences they encounter daily, is essential to raising adults who can live at peace with one another.”
