CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – At around 11:00pm last night, Police were called to an apartment in a non-Jewish building informing them of an emotionally disturbed woman who had barricaded herself inside her apartment and was threatening to harm herself. It was not clear if she had children in the apartment with her.

Hours Long Standoff with EDP Ends OK

Large amounts of police and EMS responded to Carroll Street between Albany and Troy Avenues, and the two hour standoff began. Police attempted to establish contact with the woman. After determining that she was alone, police broke down her door at around 1:00am and took her into custody. EMS transported her to the ‘G’ building at Kings County Hospital. Thankfully no one was injured.
