Stranded Kids find a Warm Place to Wait

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — On Motzai Shabbos, a group of 30 kids were impatiently waiting on the corner of Crown and Kingston for a bus that would take them to New Jersey. They planned on celebrating a classmate’s Bar Mitzvah, but after waiting for half an hour, with the bus still a no-show, the kids started looking for a way to keep warm while waiting.

One of the kids saw the Shomrim Command Post parked on the corner and decided to give it a try. He called Shomrim to ask if the group would be allowed wait on board. Shomrim members responded, turned on the heat, and let all the kids pack in, to wait for their bus

It turned out that the first bus had broken down, and about half an hour later, a new bus showed up to take the boys to the Bar Mitzvah in New Jersey.
