Renovations in Upstairs 770

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] -– Early yesterday morning, Wednesday, a crew of construction workers began replacing the ‘drop’ ceiling in upstairs 770, reportedly for the first time in over 30 years.

CrownHeights.info has learned that the old ceiling will be shipped to Chabad of California under the directorship of R. Shlomo Cunin, who is sponsoring the new ceiling.

    bh. i am glad to see that 770 – the Rebbes shul – is being taken care of. wouldnt it be nice if everything in 770 would be kept up to the maximum?

    This guy is nuts baby!! Hope the new ceiling is sweet!!! Maybe he could drop the coin it takes to ship an old ceiling on some poor folks or put the ceiling in their home… This guy Cunin is a wild dude – very cool.

    YOU MAKE THAT SOUND LIKE SUCH A WONDERFUL THING THAT IS BEING DONE. HOW ABOUT COMPLETING THE RENOVATIONS TO THE ADDED ON SHUL ETC. THAT HUNDREDS OF SHLUCHIM GAVE HARD EARNED $770.00 TOWARDS?????

    he [reb cuninin] bought the chanderlers from down stairs which were the lights of so meny farbrengens and thishrys that i rember as a kid ,, those were the good old days

    we farbrenged with cunin this past shabbos and he told us that he did not sponsor the new ceiling, however the old ceiling will be shipped to california and installed in the 770 on gaily ave. (headquarters of chabad of california).
