Tanya Baal Peh Awards at Lubavitcher Yeshiva
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — In what was the first of its kind; over 100 boys from 1st through 4th grades memorized the entire 1st perek of Tanya and the rest of the boys are not far behind.
The plan is that every year the boys learn at least 1 perek so by the time they near their Bar Mitzvah they will already be fluent in most of the 1st 12 prokim. The first year of this pilot program has been fantastic, with most boys completing the entire first perek by heart!

This past thursday Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky of Hilside NJ awarded every student who completed the first perek with a special certificate and a brand new crisp $2.00 note. This program is yearly, in memory of his daughter Bat-Sheva ob”m.
For boys who would like to review the Tanya over the summer; the Yeshiva has made available a printed booklet of the 1st perek of Tanya and a CD recording of the Tanya, available upon request: 718-774-4131 ext.113.
