Shomrim Meet with Police

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — After the emotional and tense Precinct Council Meeting, Shomrim coordinators went across the street to the Precinct along with Inspector Frank Vega, Lt. John Cantwell, Sgt. Robert Troise and officers Vincent Martinos and Charlie Ryan for a meeting targeted at addressing the issue and neutralizing any animosity or ill feelings.

The tone of the meeting was a very positive one, in which Shomrim voiced their frustrations and the NYPD responded, and in a very constructive manner the two took it upon themselves to move forward and with more communication to prevent this kind of issues from ever happening again.

In the meeting they had a discussion about Shomrim’s procedures and goals raging from their purpose and function in the community, not only as a patrol organization but also as a Chesed [good deeds] organization which will help any person in need should they just call.

Mister Sugar made a big mistake last night when he made his speech/question to Inspector Vega and then proceeded to walk out. He did not hear Vega’s response.

This is the something out of the Al Sharpton handbook.
We do not need our own Al Sharpton.

Mr Sugar, if you are going to be the new leader to replace Chanina and Moishe, you should act the job better.

talk is cheap. Inspector Vega knows all about Shomrim etc. this is going to go no where until he is replaced & the nypd realize that we will not tolerate this garbage!!

I hope that after this shomrim meeting the police don’t feel that everything is ok now and we are satisfied.
The only way to get things better is when there is pressure on them.
And first and foremost they have to know that we are not satisfied with their treatment. We want actions not words. Shomrim members: don’t fall for sweet words, ‘Eisov Sonai Leyaacov’, the only way to get things accomplished is when they are forced to.
    Vehamayvin Yovin.
Thand you Shomrim for your dedication.
