Stolen Items Recovered, Arrest Made, After Shomrim Called During Theft In Progress

A quick phone call and speedy response Sunday ended with a thief arrested and stolen items recovered after Crown Heights Shomrim was called during a theft in progress.

“At approximately 12:30 PM, our volunteers responded to a theft in progress”, Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media. “Our team quickly intervened and kept the situation calm and controlled until police arrived.”

Shomrim volunteers quick response and close collaboration with the NYPD’s 71st Precinct meant that the thief did not get far, and all stolen items were recovered.

The thief was placed under arrest and taken to the 71st precinct.
