Early Morning Package Thief Caught and Arrested In Crown Heights

A Crown Heights package thief was caught and arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning after she accidentally left her cell phone inside a building she just stole from, and attempted to retrieve it.

“At approximately 1:30 a.m., following a frantic call from a resident about a subject attempting to gain entry to a building, responding Shomrim volunteers quickly determined that the individual was a package thief trying to regain access to retrieve a forgotten cell phone, Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media. “The thief was subsequently arrested by @NYPD71Pct officers.”
