Arrest Made After Female Breaks Bochur’s Cell Phone Outside Chovevei Torah

An irate female, who parked herself outside Chovevei Torah on Eastern Parkway and broke a bochur’s cellphone, was put in cuffs Wednesday, and will now have to explain herself to a judge.

“Shomrim received a report of a female individual vandalizing phones and spitting at people that were attending a Chuppah at 770,” Crown Heights Shomrim wrote. “Thanks to a prompt response by our volunteers, the individual was located and taken into custody by the @NYPD71PCT. We thank the NYPD for their swift action in keeping our community safe.”

According to reports, the Shomrim volunteers responded quickly after she parked herself on the steps of Chovevei, initially interacting calmly with those around until she suddenly lunged at the bochurim. The volunteers followed her to 770 where others complained that she was harassing and spitting on those who were attending a Chuppah.

The NYPD made the arrest and she will be charged for the vandalism of the cell phones.
