
Arrest Made After Jewish Man Attacked Near Crown Heights Wednesday

An arrest was made Wednesday after a person accosted and attacked a Jewish man delivering food in the area of Crown Heights.
“On Wednesday at approximately 1:30 p.m., Shomrim received an urgent call for help within the confines of the @NYPD81Pct,” Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media. “A visibly Jewish man delivering food was accosted and attacked by an individual hurling antisemitic threats and throwing rocks at him.”
Shomrim volunteers quickly responded and maintained control of the scene until the NYPD arrived, according to Shomrim. After conducting an investigation, officers arrested the suspect.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is also investigating the incident, with reports indicating he was charged with Menacing as a Hate Crime.
The Jewish man was not injured in the incident.
