Hate Crime Arrest Made In Crown Heights Incident

Crown Heights Shomrim has announced that an arrest has been made by the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force after a Jewish man was targeted in an egg-throwing incident on March 3rd.

“On March 3rd, Shomrim received a call from a community member reporting that he was struck by eggs thrown by an individual described as appearing Middle Eastern,” Crown Heights Shomrim wrote on social media. “Our operations team quickly got to work and provided clear footage of both the incident and the suspect’s vehicle. Thanks to the outstanding efforts of the Hate Crimes Task Force, the suspect was arrested on Erev Purim.”

The incident took place at the corner of Brooklyn Ave and Rutland Rd, with the offending egg thrower lobbing the commodity from an SUV wrapped matt black.
